Arizona’s Efficiency Arizona program (the state’s implementation of the federal Home Energy Rebates) is the largest single pot of money most Phoenix-area homeowners can put toward heating, cooling, and electrical upgrades - and unlike the federal tax credits that ended in 2025, it is a direct rebate, not a credit you wait a year to claim.
Funding is reserved through the program and balances change - we re-verify availability at reservation time as part of every project that qualifies.
Who qualifies
- Arizona homeowners (and some renters) within program income limits: at or below 80% AMI for the full benefit tier, 80-150% AMI for the 50% tier
- Work must be performed through a program-registered contractor
- Covered measures include heat pump heating/cooling, heat pump water heaters, electrical panel and wiring upgrades, and insulation
